Freak The Mighty Essay
I really liked the book because of how they described the setting, how they told about Max who never had a friend, one day found a friend, Freak, Freak was a friend that helped him every time, like when they need to escape Tony D and his gang, a friend who helped him study, but died , and last of all I liked how they started and ended the book by Max writing about Freak The Mighty. My favorite character in the book was Freak/ Kevin, I chose this person as my favorite character because he was an intelligent boy and a friend who helped his best friend, Max, know the thing he knew about the world and especially about King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table.
I think the events in this book could really happen because like for example there could be a dumb kid who finds a friend who helps him get smart, or there could be a kids father who killed his wife and his kid saw him do that, he could take him to the bed and say it was a dream. Or there could be a crippled kid who came out to be a old friend of somebody like in the book Max and Freak.
The part of the book that I liked the best was when Freak had just moved near to Max' house, and Freak was telling the movers what to do with the box with the computer. I liked this part the most because it was kind of funny that a crippled kid was telling the mover what to do and I liked how he acted I he was the boss.
The character in this book I identify is Maxwell because when I get angry I can't control myself from hitting something, I kind-of can control it now, but part of me still remains like that. Max is also like me, like when his dad was choking Loretta Lee, he was so angry that he ripped of the rope of his hand the thing that he was tied to moved apart from its place.
I would recommend this book to my friends because I also want them to hear the story of two best friend who used their imaginations to go on quest, slay Dragons, and a friend lost his best friend. And especially about how they put Max's father in his right place, Jail.

Stone Soup
Stone Soup
There once was a young man who set out to seek his fortune. He walked all day and all night.Soon he became very hungry and tired. With farther to go and no money in his pocket,he knew that he needed yo think of something clever very soon.At last the young man came to a tiny village.
Each villager said,"NO!"
The young man's growling stomach reminded him that he had to think of some thing something fast.
Then he got an idea,he went in the village square, the young man picked up a big stone. Some of the villagers gathered around him.
"What will you do with that stone?" a curios woman asked.
"You can't eat a stone!"
"I can make a soup from a stone," the young man answered. The villagers started to laugh.
"Fetch me the largest pot you own and I will show you how to make a stone soup," said the young man.
The villagers watched as the young man plopped the stone into the pot of boiling water. The pot water boiled and boiled. An old women said, "I think it will be even better with carrots." so she ran to her garden to get some carrots.
"It smells good now," said the hungry young man. "But it would taste even better with some onion."
A little girl skipped up to the young man with a basket full of onions. "Please add these onions to your pot of stone soup," she said
"This stone soup smells delicious," said an old man. "But I think it needs some beef bones."
He went to his cupboard to get some bones. The pot now boiled full of onions, carrots, and beef bones.
"The stone soup is now ready and is fit for a king too." said the young man
"But it would be even better with a pinch of salt and a dash of pepper," said the young woman in the crowd. The pot boiled and boiled. The smell of the stone soup made the young man very happy.
"That soup needs some potatoes!" cried another villager. "I know just where to get some."
Into the pot went the potatoes, salt, pepper, beef bones, onions, carrots and the most important thing the stone. After a while, the young man tasted the soup.
"This is the best stone ever!"he said. "Now its ready to be eaten."
"Why don't we eat it with some bread?" asked another villager.
"There is enough soup for everyone" said the young man. "Please join me!"
The villagers set up tables in the village square with their best dishes and spoons.
"This is the best stone soup we have ever tasted" said the villagers. But then they realized that they have made a mistake,so they all called out "We are sorry for not letting you eat food"
"Ah, its OK, enjoy your soup"said the young man and then left the villagers with the recipe of the stone soup.

King Midas And The Golden Touch
King Midas And The Golden Touch
King Midas was greedy, old, unhappy king.Although he owned more land and money than anyone else,he never felt that he had enough. He always wanted more of everything: more food, more money, more clothes. He had one daughter,Leah, who was the most beautiful in the land.He loved her dearly, but not even she could take away his greed. One day, the king was walking through his enormous garden, which was the most spectacular in all the land.He was surprised to stumble across a beggar wearing tattered clothes, with broken sandals on his feet.He didn't know that this beggar was really a magician who granted wishes and helped people discover what was really important to them
The beggar explained, "I have lost my way and I have nowhere to go." Then he pleaded, "Please,if you help me now I will grant you any wish you want."
"Any wish I want? How can you,a beggar, give me,a king, anything I want?" King Midas didn't believe him, but he decided to feed and clothe him anyway.
"I will repay your kindness," said the beggar. Together they went into the king's palace. Servants brought huge plates piled high with food. They ate and drank until they were full. The king's tailor made the beggar new garments from fine fabric and the shoemaker made him new shoes.
Finally Midas said, "Enough of all this! I have decided on my wish."
"I want everything I touch to turn to gold"
"Are you sure you want this wish?"
"Yes!"
The beggar blinked his eyes. "The king's wish has just been granted."
The king picked up a bread and 'poof' it turned to gold! He couldn't believe it. Then he picked up a piece of chicken and 'poof', it too turned to gold!
Then he called his servants and said "Servants fetch me a glass of water"
The servants handed King Midas a glass of water, but it turned to gold!
"Help me out of my throne," he called, but when he touched his servant's arm,the servant became a golden statue.
"I have no food, nothing to drink and no servant. Well,as long as I have my gold....."The king smiled. He turned everything to gold-The royal horses, clothes and furniture. He had no way of getting around, nothing to wear and nowhere to sit!
He ran outside to his garden to pluck a rose for his daughter. It too turned to gold, hard and cold with no pretty sent.Just then Leah ran outside.
"Father, what has become of our palace?" Leah asked
He reached out to her and she turned to gold! The king was horrified!
"I thought I had everything, but now I have nothing," sniffled King Midas. He called out,
"Please undo my wish."
Suddenly the magician appear.
"Are you sure" asked the magician.
"Yes!" King Midas said
Everything was changed back. The king rejoiced with his daughter. He realized that he had all that he needed, and wanted

Scream Rooms
Parents in Middletown, Conn., are protesting the use of what they're calling "scream rooms" by Farm Hill Elementary School as a way of disciplining misbehaving students, NBC Connecticut reports.
According to NBC, school staff have been putting children, including students with special needs, in what the district officially refers to as "time out rooms."
Parents opposed to the use of the rooms voiced their concerns at a recent Board of Education meeting, arguing the practice was causing more problems than it was solving.
"The building custodians had to go in and clean blood off the walls and clean urination off the floors," one parent told NBC Connecticut.

I want to kill these people who do this and that's true.Like why do they even need to put them in the scream room, can't they just try to explain to the kid. They even let them go .........and there blood."The building custodians had to go in and clean blood off the walls and clean urination off the floors," one parent told NBC Connecticut.,I think the parent's did a great job telling the NBC Connecticut about the blood and stuff. And if student go there they would not even want to go school forever.I want to ask the school what happen if a boy has some kind of throat disease and the medicine is out of the scream room, would give them the medicine.

Jennifer McKendrick, Pennsylvania Photographer, Refuses To Photograph Teen Bullies.
This is a article I read and I loved it so I decided to write about it
In this article there is a girl Jennifer McKendrick she decided not to take pictures of a group of high school girls for their senior portraits after she found evidence of the teen bullying other students on Facebook.Jennifer McKendrick, from Indiana County, Pa., wrote on her own Facebook page earlier this week that she came across another Facebook page with nasty comments from four high school girls whose names matched her scheduled clients. She emailed the girls and their parents to cancel their senior photo shoots, while including screenshots of their comments to explain why she was calling off the session.
I think she did a very good job by stop taking photographs of the people who are ugly inside them,I really, really agree with the photographer because if she did not do that she was doing a bad job of stopping bully, and it will not make them nicer or not a bully the article says it's not going to make them 'nicer people' but I refuse to let people like that represent my business.

Little Thunder
Little Thunder
Little Thunder lived in a wigwam with his parents in their small Indian village. One day his father,Big Thunder, was leaving on a buffalo hunt.Since Little Thunder was just eleven years old,he was instructed to stay behind and look after his mother.Little Thunder decided to go on a small hunt of his own.He wanted to bring back a rabbit.Little Thunder, like all Indians in his tribe, killed animals only when he needed food or clothes. He had a good hunting bow which had a perfect curve to it when the string was pulled tight. He had bone arrows which had sharp points on one end and goose feather's on the other end. When Little Thunder came to the forest clearing,he saw grass move.He dropped to the ground and waited. He tested the direction of breeze by wetting a finger in his mouth and holding it in the air.His finger felt cool, and he knew the wind was blowing toward him.Whatever was in the grass would not catch his scent. He was about to let his sharpest arrow fly when he saw a newborn baby fawn.Little Thunder put the arrow in its pouch and moved slowly toward her.The frightened animal was trying to stand on her thin legs when they buckled and she fell down.He didn't mean to scare her when he laughed at the struggling animal. She tried again, but her legs couldn't support her body. The boy walked over to make sure she wasn't hurt.He reached out to her soft new fur.As he was stroking her,he could feel her calming down. Then he felt her rough little tongue lapping at his cheek.Little Thunder Had made a friend.Where were the fawn's parents?Little Thunder searched. He followed tracks leading to the lake's edge.As he was bending down to look closer at the sand,he had an awful feeling. There was blood near the shore and moccasin footprints next to the deer tracks. Then he knew.Fellow Indians had killed the deer for food. The boy ran to the little fawn.He carried the animal to a nearby cave.Everyday he returned, bringing her food and water until she was able to walk on her own. They played games together and he taught her to come to him when he whistled.
Years went by and the young boy grew up.One day,he found the same clearing he had come upon a long time ago.He was chasing a full-grown deer when it turned around and stared at him.Little Thunder was about to take aim when instead,he whistled softly. The deer approached the boy and began licking his cheek! They were reunited! The deer went back into the woods where she still lives in peace.

The Rabbi and the twenty nine witches
The Rabbi and the twenty nine witches
There was a village. The people lived happily together. But under the Go-Go hill lived the ugliest and the baddest witches, they fought together they pulled their cat's tail and even pinched one another!.When it was a full moon night all of the twenty nine witches went to the village and flew all around the village flying on their broom,They screamed their bad laugh's.And when it was a full moon and it rained they would not come out.Specially when it was a full moon the village people came early from their work and locked their door's,bolted their shutter's and some went under the bed.People were born, became old and died without seeing the full moon. One day before the full moon night an old woman told her friend that she want's to see the full moon before dying,so her friend told her that the Rabbi could help us.Then when they arrived the old woman told the Rabbi the whole story. Then the Rabbi told the old woman to call the bravest men in the village and say them to bring white robes the clay pots tomorrow.
The day arrived when all the bravest men in the village came to the Rabbi's house and then the Rabbi said that take your robes and put them in the clay pot's.After they had put them the Rabbi said let's go.Then they went to the cave where the witches lived,It was raining hard and it was full moon and witches couldn't come out. When they reached to the cave the Rabbi said "Wear your robes and when I whistle just grab a witch and start dancing and when I say go out with the witches and the then the witches are over".Then the men did what the Rabbi said and then the Rabbi went inside the cave and the witches stopped doing the work they were doing and went to look at the Rabbi, "You look like us"The head witch said.
"Yes I know"The Rabbi said
"But how did you walk in the rain"The witches asked
"I used a spell to come and I have came here to teach to some new magic and how to walk in the rain"The Rabbi said.
"OK,teach us some magic"The head witch said
"First you teach me some magic"Rabbi said
"OK,what do you want"The head witch asked
"Give me a big feast"The Rabbi said
Then all the witches started doing spell's and making food,Then after 20 minutes the whole cave was full with food, then the Rabbi said
"Let's have you dance"The Rabbi said
"But nobody have asked us for dance in 20 year's"The witches said
"But now you will"The Rabbi said and then he whistled and all the men came in and each of them grabbed a witches started dancing
"And now I will teach you how to dance in the rain, men take them out"The Rabbi yelled and the men took the witches out and when the rain fell on the witches and they shrink, and all of the men were like giant's to witches.
"Now go and call all the village here"The Rabbi said to a man
Then the man went to the village and got all the villagers. Then the Rabbi said
"The witches are gone and now let's have a party"The Rabbi said walking into the cave, then they danced and sang the whole night.
